About Trailpeak
Trailpeak's trail database is built and maintained by ... you! Our mission at Trailpeak is to provide the best source of hiking, mountain biking, climbing, kayaking, canoeing, skiing, and snowshoeing trails and trip planning tools across Canada and the US. We like to think of the terrain we play in and protect as one big Island. With 10,000 trails and growing, we're one of North America's largest trails sites, our editors approve great content. Our editors also post some amazing stuff themselves.
It's a community driven site, add your trails by clicking on:
New trails are being added by members like you daily. Click any one of the activity buttons on the left and get going.
Our service is free and content grows through your contributions and trail Karma. We've been at this since 2001, we know there is a trail adventure on trailpeak meant for you, use our search and recommendations. Also please consider:
- Becoming a Premium Member for only $25 gives you monthly member draws for the latest outdoor gear ... and we partner with the top back-country gear providers, MSR, Osprey, MH, Kokatat, Montbell, ...
- buying GPS download credits, giving you access to our wealth of GPS trails data (note: if you upload GPS data for a trail you get download credits, we reward helpers!)
- Sending in related news and events, adding a trail, or reviewing a trail!
- Supporting our sponsors, they help keep the site free and we run a lean and mean shop to keep the content flowing!
We're not funded by venture capitalists. We love the outdoors, and we are just a few enthusiasts ourselves. The features we build on this site reflect what our users, friends, and we ourselves think makes sense.
Got a comment, a beef, or some props, use the contact form and you'll get an email back pretty quick.
If you have any questions at all, either about us, volunteering, or other,
how to add a trail with pictures, you can e-mail

We hope you enjoy.
