Regarding trail Mt. Arrowsmith (Judges Route) near Port Alberni, BC

http://www.trailpeak.com/index.jsp?con=trail&val=2141

I would like to hike up Arrowsmith but I'm not sure how worried I should be driving on the logging roads up to the trail head. Does anyone know if the logging roads are active, If I'll need a CV radio to call out km?

< BR>I don't know for sure, because things change. But I was up as far as the saddle route a month ago and there was no truck traffic. A good place to look is here, http://blog.islandtim berlands.com/ Since the road is the mmain route up to Arrowsmith, truck drivers are ready for tourists.
Right now the snowline is down low. Pretty well all the trail is snow covered. Be prepared for treachery from mother nature.
