Anyone hiked the trail recently? What's the drinking water situation?

A friend of mine did the hike about a month ago with a group from the Comox Valley. The Uchuck people said they've been ferrying around 400 hikers out of Yuquot per season for the last few years, which, if true, would be a remarkable difference from the previous comment in 2007. I'm planning to try it out in September myself.

I did the hike at the beginning of June. Drinking water available at all the normal campsites - Third Beach, Calvin Falls, Beano Creek, Callicum Creek and after the Lagoon. Plus some intermediate spots. We saw no potable water from Callicum Creek until after the Lagoon.
