Fossli Provincial Park trail is suitable for all levels and ages. It is kept in excellent condition with trail signs. There is a lovely pebble beach for picnicking, sunbathing, or swimming. There is one picnic table located near the site of an old homestead. While the homestead no longer exists, there is a plaque explaining the history and naming of the site.
Directions from BC Parks site: "From Port Alberni, take Highway 4 west and after 6.5 km turn south on McCoy Lake Rd. After 3 km turn west into Stirling Arm Rd. and continue for 0.9 km to the Stirling Arm Mainline junction (this is a logging road that is on your left). Take this logging road until you cross a bridge, where you will find a 'v' in the road. Take the road to the right and continue until you reach the Fossli Trail sign post.
You will see a warning sign about active logging in the area requesting you to seek permission from the logging company. As long as you are accessing the trail on the weekend, you should not need to access the company. If trying to go to the trail during the week it would be best to phone the number included on the sign.
