This beautiful walking trail loops around Cobb's Pond. Perfectly located in the town of Gander, this trail is excellent for all age groups and abilities. There are many attractions and amenities at the trail head including a large play ground, canoe / kayak launch, volley ball courts, a dog park, bathrooms, an indoor meeting space, large parking lot, garbage cans, outdoor market space, open field, picnic tables, gazebos, and an outdoor concert area. Wheel chairs, dogs and strollers are welcome on the trail. This trail is made up of boardwalk and granular sections. It is open year round and is a wonderful spot in the winter time for snowshoeing. There are multiple access and exit points along the loop trail to a variety of residential areas. There is also access to the Newfoundland T'Railway which welcomes walkers, cyclists, ATV's, motor bikes, side by sides and snowmobiles. There are a wide variety of look off points, bridges and rest areas. Wildflowers grow in large amounts and local ducks and loons are prevalent. There is also access to the Little Cobb's Pond Trail that whines through the forest to Ogilvie Street. This trail is named after Mr. Alexander Cobb - a worker with the Newfoundland Railway Project in 1892.

Directions:

The trail is located on Magee Rd in Gander Newfoundland. It includes a large parking lot and provides immediate access to a large play ground, canoe / kayak launch, volley ball courts, a dog park, bathrooms, an indoor meeting space, large parking lot, garbage cans, outdoor market space, open field, picnic tables, gazebos, and an outdoor concert area.
