This is an awesome trail, with some insanely steep sections. Like most trails here, you can choose to connect to several others and finish up in different places each time (Rudy's Revenge is a nice one). The woods here are beautiful, not all mangled like so many of the other trails in logging country, so the trail stays dryish year round. You can ride it in winter, but be ready for snow. It’s nicely maintained, and not as busy as 2 Sheiks, because it scares a lot of people!
Starts in the same area as 2 Sheiks, so you can connect to it from above at the Forbidden Plateau parking lot. Some nutso gap jumps on the way down. Park at the bottom at Nymph Falls if you want to grunt your way up. To get to the top, take Forbidden Plateau road out of Courtenay until the road stops at the bottom of an old ski hill. Follow the signs out of town and it's hard to miss. The trailhead is at the far end of the parking lot.
