The Bear creek trail takes you to the ridge of Mt Lorne. Follow the trail on the north side of the creek, past a few houses.

After about 4km, there is an old, decrepit trappers log cabin to the left. The trail goes up the ridge from here, behind the cabin. There is some thick bush along the way to the ridge, obscuring the trail at times.

Follow the ridge via the saddle towards the main peak. Stay left of the final steep section to reach the summit. The ridge continues after the top to allow further exploration, or a circuit down to the creek, but it is not an easy descent via some very thick bush. Better to return the way you came up.
