Hi,

I'm looking to go hiking and camping for a week in April and was wondering if anyone had some suggestions. I'm most liklely going to be limited to BC due to the winter conditions. Any must go places that you can think of?

Thank you,

Troy

Sounds like you want to stay in Canada,
but that time of year will cause problems for you for sure. Columbia River Gorge park in Oregon is one of the greatest springtime locations I have ever been. It's about 8-10 hours from Vancouver, but it sounds like you have a week, so it would be worth it.
There are hundreds of miles of trails, and about 45 waterfalls. It can be crowded on weekends, but the 20 minute rule definitely applies. There are some sweet campgrounds, and Hood River is a nice town to visit.
Great bike trails too, so you can double up.
Whitewater canyon would definitely not be an option until late June. We get loads of snow in the interior and it sticks around.

Best of luck!
