Regarding trail Elfin Lakes (Garibaldi Provincial Park) near Squamish, BC

me and some friends are planning to head up to Elfin Lakes. We are wondering when would be the best time to go because we dont want to snowshoe or anything like that

Depending on the snow pack, you can get snow in July, I found some one year (was that 2009 I can't remember) and hiked over well packed snow, it was deep, even though I had snowshoes -- I tended not to use them. August safe. As the other reader mentioned, I've also biked up in July, no issue with snow on the trail. If a lot of snow, you have to use the winter route, it's marked.
