Regarding trail Elfin Lakes (Garibaldi Provincial Park) near Squamish, BC

Hi, I am thinking of heading up to Elfin Lake in mid-August, but am a little worry about whether or not my little Corolla can make it to the Diamond Head parking lot. Does anyone have know how good (or bad) the road is and if my city car can make it? Thanks for any advice you may have!

Hi,

I just went up on July 26th on a dry day and the roads were fine with an older Nissan Altima. It can get very dusty and bumpy, and sections where there are a lot of pot holes, some large. Clean your windshields well, inside and out, as the lighting on the roads at the times of day you will travel up and down makes it harder to see, until just before potholes. Just take it easy and be vigilant in spotting those potholes and you'll be fine.

Have fun!

K
