Regarding trail Anvil Island Circumnavigation near Vancouver, BC

so, i'm planning this trip with a couple of my friends for 2 nights and a day.

so first night, we would arrive at porteau cove provincial park and stay a night there. (DO WE NEED TO MAKE RESERVATION?)

early morning next day, if we set out for anvil island, is there any campground we can camp on? I'm not looking for a formal campground with cabins. but a decent campsite where we can put up our tents and stuff.

and 3rd day, we would pack up and return home.

please reply asap.

I don't think there is one, and I hear the locals are pretty protective of their private property. This guy has a pretty well written up day trip, kayaking the crossing, and hiking to Leading Peak. peak-on-anvil-island.html

He suggests landing at Pebble Beach, and warns to head back early because of the afternoon chop.

There is the Christian Camp on the island. You could contact them and see if they'd let you camp there in their off season. They run summer camps. I think it's called Daybreak Bible Camp. They have a lodge they book out (7-16 people), though that doesn't sound like what you're looking for. More info here: /rentals.html

Even if that's not what you're looking for, they will no doubt know what else may or may not be available.

Didn't think Anvil had any camping, however the Island south of it does I believe -- it's a fair distance I believe, with a rock outcrop in between. Beware of winds, cold water, and tide.
