Heading back out to Banff on Monday for a few days...hope to go up Plain of Six Teahouse at Louise and maybe another shorter family hike. Then off to Panorama for a few days...try hiking some trails at the south end of Kootney Nat. Park. Should be a fun time!!

Did two family hikes this week. Hiked at Heart Creek on Monday and Stanley Glacier yesterday. I'm always looking for some scenic but shorter day hikes that we can share as a family. My philosophy is keep the hike short, with lots of stops (especially if there is a creek or river) and hiking is a great family activity. I honestly didn't think that my boys would make the end of the Stanley Glacier trail but they had an awesome time. We dropped the day packs and explored the cirque for about an hour and half, even hiking up the talus slope to the main falls.
