The North Bay Nordic Ski Club is located at 630 Northshore Rd on the outskirts of North Bay Ontario.
The Clubhouse, Garage, Jackrabbit Lodge, parking lot and stadium/instruction area sit on 3 acres of private land owned by the club.
The trail system is a series of concentric loops totaling 50 km. Most trails are groomed for both skating and classic, the exception being the 18 km green trail which is groomed only for classic skiing. The trails are on Crown Land which is part of the Mattawa River Provincial Park system. The club’s land use permit for the trails runs from October 31 to April 15 each year.
The Club offers 2.5 km of lit trails using low pressure sodium lights mounted on 35 foot hydro poles. The lighting of the trails was made possible by a generous Ontario Trillium Grant in 2001 and again in 2002.

QuestionHi. I'm looking to join an activity that will make this winter fun. I've never tried snowshoeing, but am interested. I was wondering what the Nordic Ski Club has to offer for beginners. Thank you.
