Trail ascends up the north side of Fraser Mountain to an abandon fire lookout. The majority of the elevation is gained in the first 2 km which has viewpoints looking north, east and west, while the view from the lookout offers a 360 degree view over the Nechako Plateau.



Directions:



Fraser Mountain is located at the southeast corner of Fraser Lake - east of the community of Fraser Lake. Trailhead and parking are readily accessible from Highway 16. Traveling west on Hwy 16, look for the trailhead sign and parking on the left side of the highway about 2 km beyond the turnoff for Beaumont Provincial Park.

Downside Can be treacherous on some of the switchbacks in milder temps.. Comment I enjoyed this trail..Completed in Feb 2013, thankfully a snowshoer had blazed a trail..
