Trail ascends up the north side of Fraser Mountain to an abandon fire lookout. The majority of the elevation is gained in the first 2 km which has viewpoints looking north, east and west, while the view from the lookout offers a 360 degree view over the Nechako Plateau.
Fraser Mountain is located at the southeast corner of Fraser Lake - east of the community of Fraser Lake. Trailhead and parking are readily accessible from Highway 16. Traveling west on Hwy 16, look for the trailhead sign and parking on the left side of the highway about 2 km beyond the turnoff for Beaumont Provincial Park.

UpsideDoes not take long to get to summit..Most of elevation is really quick, it levels out at a white cross facing hwy 16. DownsideCan be treacherous on some of the switchbacks in milder temps.. CommentI enjoyed this trail..Completed in Feb 2013, thankfully a snowshoer had blazed a trail..
