The Grizzly Col hike is great trek through the beautiful Pocaterra cirque and a short ascent up to a breathtaking view of the Grizzly Col to the south. Round trip distance is 6.8 km and total elevation gain is 628 meters. The scenery and colours are especially great in the fall when the larch trees turn golden.
Proceed west on the Trans-Canada highway 1 from Calgary and turn south onto highway 40 into Kananaskis country. Proceed for 69.5 kilometers to the Highwood pass parking lot where the hike starts.
