This is a new trail system that had its grand opening on October 18, 2012. It is a City of Scottsdale facility so there are no state or federal park entry/use fees. There is a new building (more like a large stylist unique architectural metal covered (but not enclosed) structure. It has bathrooms but no place to get drinking water.

For guided hiking trips in Arizona: See AOA-adventures.

Directions:

This is in the McDowell Sonoran Preserve in City of Scottsdale. It is pretty much out in the middle of nowhere but not far from the NE parts of Scottsdale.

Get on one of the major North/South roads such N. Scottsdale Road or N. Pima Road.
At E. Happy Valley Road turn East and follow into the far NE (through and past the Troon subdivision)
E. Happy Valley Road eventually turns north and becomes N. 118 Street
Turn East at Ranch Gate Road and follow for about 1 mile
Turn South on 128th Street and follow the signs - you will probably see the rust colored metal building in the distance.
