Allouette river goes from Allouette Lake to Pitt River through the towns of Maple Ridge and Pitt Meadows. The lower part of the river (below 224th st)is very calm and easy to paddle upstream. There is lots of places to put-in due to the river having dyke paths the whole way along the lower part.

Directions:

Take any road north from the Lougheed Hwy (Route 7) in Maple Ridge
between 232nd st and Old Dewdney Trunk rd. Parking is along side of the
river where the roads cross.
