UpsideClose to residential areas and shopping plus free parking (by Glenmore Landing or Heritage Park). With the fall season, trees are changing colors adding to the already scenic views. DownsideCrowded on weekends (runners, walkers, cyclists, occasional inline skater or longboarder) around mid-morning to afternoon. Cyclists go way over the 20 kph limit so watch out especially for your kids. CommentGo early morning or late afternoon.
Note that this is part of the Calgary pathways system and people should respect the RULES found in http://www.calgary.ca/CSPS/Parks/Pages/Pathways/Pathways-in-Calgary.aspx

UpsideGood trail to take a couple bikes and a chariot if you're with your kids. Also good for a run or a walk. Some paths are bike only or run/walk only. DownsideLots of rude people who don't care about respecting others. Quite crowded. CommentI went on this trail with my wife and son. We both have helmets, bells, lights, etc. I found very few people signal to others when they're passing, and then I had a runner who specifically sprinted to make it hard for me and my wife to carefully and maturely pass him. Wow. Some of the rudest people in Calgary use this trail.

UpsideA good sized loop. The south west part of the loop is quite nice. DownsideBusy, mainly cause it's in the city. The northwest part heads through the neighbourhood which takes away a bit. Bikes can only stay on the pavement. CommentI'd do this again, kind of like a Sunday stroll. A good loop to get some fresh air.

UpsideClose to home. Weaselhead is beautiful. Biking it regularly has kept me in shape over the years. DownsideBikes are not allowed off of the paved path on the south side of the Elbow River.
