This map shows all existing Trail Heads and Trails, each shown in different colors. These correspond with the colored markers that can be found on the trails. Brief descriptions of each trail are also provided under the map.

RAPTOR LOOP TRAIL - Easy Hike (Time=47min, Length=3km, Elevation change=0m)
This easy loop takes you along a bluff with dramatic views of Wood Lake and the Oyama
benchlands. This area is home to many large raptors; can you spot the eagle nests? This trail will take you through the North Underpass and back to the trail head along parts of the Old Mission Road constructed in the late 1800’s.

Directions:

Directions to OLD MISSION ROAD TRAIL HEAD - Latitude- 50° 4'34.82"N, Longitude- 119°24'27.15"W
From Highway 97, take the Pelmewash Parkway exit (shortly after Oceola intersection).
Follow Pelmewash Parkway, turn left onto Ponderosa Drive, right onto Old Mission road and proceed to the cul-de-sac located next to Highway 97. The Trail Head is marked with a WALC (Walk Around Lake Country) sign. The Summit Trail is identified with red markers and the Raptor Loop Trail is identified with white markers.
