This trail is in a lush, v-shaped valley with spectacular large silvery old growth cedar on all sides, and huge devil’s clubs along a small stream.
From Highway 16, go 7km on Loos Road (north) to the Morkill Forest Service Road (FSR) on the right (north). Travel the Morkill FSR for 11km. After the 11km marker, watch for an opening in the trees on the right (east) side of the road, at the base of a hill. This is the trailhead, and it is currently marked with purple and blue flagging tape. Use this trail to enter the forest. Continue for a ways, hugging the base of the hill to your right. This portion of the trail is not yet flagged, but it is very apparent where to go. After a short while, you will see a creek (on your left), which eventually leads into a beautiful valley filled with magnificent silvery old growth cedars.
