The Dentist is meant for experienced riders who are able to take big jumps. The dentist features a 7 foot high ladder, a super cool coaster and several drops. Its a good 30 minutes-1 hour of uphill depending on your shape. WARNING-DENTIST IS VERY DIFFICULT, SERIOUS INJURY CAN OCCUR, DO NOT ATTEMPT WITHOUT A PARTNER!! The man who built the dentist test rode it, flipped over, and knocked out almost all his teeth, how do u think it got the name, "the dentist"?
From Panorama drive, park your car at noons creek park. You will see a trail just left of the houses on the right side of the road. Follow this trail up, past the steep hill, down a little farther till you get to a fork in the trail. Turn left, go up for another 20-30 minutes until you reach the summit. After having a break, look for the sign.

UpsideIts a technical trail, lots of little jumps here and there, lots of big jumps but majority where not rideable. It was alot of fun going down though DownsideIt hasn't been maintaind in years it looks like. Most of the ramps you can't ride on due to the slime build up. The hike up to the trail is about 1.5 hours straight up a rock bed that looks like it used to be a river. The trail entrance it self is actually blocked by a large fallen tree but you can climb over it. CommentI wasn't sure what to expect going there, the hike deffianlty made me swear a few times and got a nasty gash on my shin from slipping on the rocks. The trail it self was fun for how un mainted it is. still rideable though. lots of technical parts, steep sections (I actually miss calculated and went right over my bars) no biggy though. If you have 3 hours in your day to hike up to the trail and ride down and hike back to your car then go for this trail. It is fun.

UpsideIt's an advanced jump trail. Fast and big drops. CommentWell to start, it's on Eagle Mountain, not Burke. It's not really that hard, all the stunts can be ridden around and the entire trail is based on an old double track logging road. The section that gave the Dentist it's name isn't even ridden anymore, it's just a washed out chute and the whole area is bypassed. The description by the original poster is definitely creative though.
Oh, how do I know this? I'm one of the 2 builders of it.

CommentThe gps data I have uploaded includes both Four Lost Souls and The Dentist, as the former flows into the latter. This route transects both the upper and lower logging roads, which begin from different points on Westwood Plateau. The upper road (Lungbuster) transects the end of Four Lost/beginning of Dentist. The end of The Dentist is the lower logging road. These two roads do not intersect, therefore you will end up on the other side of Westwood plateau if you turn left at the end of Dentist (mapped). If you turn right, you can continue on to Academy, which ends at Buntzen Lake (not on GPS).

UpsideReally good trail for very advanced riders. Drop In even filmed an episode here. Huge wallrides and crazy drops DownsideToo long to walk to the top. Vehicles should be allowed to get to the top of 4 lost souls or the dentist. That would make things much better CommentIt's a really good trail, but not for those with hardtails or without lots of experience.
