Directions:

Turn into Peterson Creek Park off of Columbia Drive. Drive in as far as you can and park. This is a good spot to explore the park from even though there are other entrances along Summit Drive. Good parking, proximity to downtown and a decent picnic area make this the ideal place to start your ride.

By jennaPosted By: jenna  - Sun Oct 28 01:23:44 UTC 2007 Not Rated Upside it is RIGHT in the middle of the city... but when you are in the park near the waterfall you don't really feelthat way. with the exception of the visible red bridge that goes over the valley gap. Downside people leave so much garbage here it is terrible. careful for bears. they like it. and snakes in the area are really common. Comment the columbia street entrance is the best if you're looking for a short, easy nature walk with a rewarding result. the entrance to the park is right across the street from the Denny's restaurant on the corner of 6th and columbia. drive up as far as you can and then go and start your walk.. i'd stay to the left side of the creek... it's easier to get to the waterfall that way. takes about 20 minutes to get to the falls, and right before them there is a cave for exploration as well. watch for hobos, they seriously live there.
