A nice easy hike around the Buntzen Lake BC Hydro Property west of Vancouver. A suitable walk for the fit family.
Beautiful views of the lake and lovely mountain surroundings.
Apparently there are line-ups for the parking lot in the summer so pick when you go.
A lovely gem.
Drive to Anmore BC and follow the signs to the Buntzen Lake Resevoir, it's well posted. Park at in the 3rd South Beach parking lot and access the trail from the South West corner of the parking lot, by the signs and rubbish bins.

UpsideEasy, rolling trail around the perimeter of the lake. Should only take 2 hours to do the loop. CommentHaven't hiked/walked this trail as a loop. Used either the west or east sides as a return trip from hiking north on the Diez Vistas trail. Westside trail is more hilly than the eastside trail (ie. take eastside back after Diez Vistas!). Both trails are nicely groomed and leveled with gravel.

CommentIt's great that you can stop anytime and take a swim in the lake. It shouldn't take more than 2 hours unless you take long breaks.
