The local teenagers of Valemont, B.C. have built themselves a nice little area in the trees that is comparable to what you might see around Vancover BC (i.e. ladders). There isn't that much there yet because they have just started to build it. Maybe you can help?
If you're in the area and have the time to stop for an hour or so to take a ride through it, go to Valemont, BC and stop at the Esso that is on the main Highway through town. Get exact directions to the site from there. It is just above the town on an old logging road (map not avalable sorry). Its only a 15 min drive up and is very hard to miss. It has ramps, it has drops 5 feet to around 10 feet high. And has some nice little "slides" to roll down. The trails are very well constructed in the trees and are very stable even in windy conditions.
So if you have the time, stop by and take a look.
Driving time from Edmonton, AB is 5 hours. If driving from Vancouver to Edmonton on the yellowhead, this is a nice stop. If you do, and you like, please try to donate in some way to these trailbuilders.
