This is an easy and popular trail that starts in Kimberley and connects to Marysville with a visit to the impressive Marysville falls. The trail is easy to follow with maps and signposts along the way. The trail is used by walkers, runners and bikers all year. Several pedestrian bridges span the creek, there are benches along the way to rest at and scenic views open up to the hills and mountains.
After crossing highway 93a at Marysville park there is a nice walkway and pedestrian bridge leading down to the viewpoint near the falls.
In Marysville a block away from the creek is The Barking Gecko, a great place to stop for a coffee, pastries or lunch. Call 250-427-3131 for hours.
Trail starts in Kimberley near the city center just on the south side of Mark creek.
You will see a set of prayer flags about 1 km from the Platzl along Mark Creek. They mark the spot where Linda Morrow (Pat Morrow's sister) died tragically on this trail in February 2007, while walking from home late evening and slipped on the ice.
The south access to the trail is at the bridge in Marysville at the trail sign in the park. Signs indicate the walking path to the waterfalls.
