It's a nice little walk around the lake and is great for fishing and canoeing. Favoured more in the summer time. It is best to park at the start of the dirt road and walk the whole way down or bike. It's very nice view all around.

Directions:

once entering hampton from the hyw go right on the Hall road. Take your next left Villa dr). Go straight down the road until you hit a dirt road. Follow that right to the end, then take the last right. Walk down the hill to the lake.

It's a nice lake but seems everytime I am on it with a canoe, the wind always comes up. It can get pretty nasty in the wind. Fishing was great. We used a 2 wheel canoe cart and walked the first trail into the small bridge Stroover mentioned and we launched there. The trail at the end of the diret road is way to steep to pull a canoe back out without a lot of hard work, (done it).

The easiest access to the lake is prior to getting to the very end of the dirt road, you'll notice a beaver pond with a little causeway going over it. Put in there, and meander your way to the lake. It sure beats portaging your canoe all the way to the end of the trail, down hill all the way there, then up hill all the way back. The only thing is it gets pretty narrow at times, and there is a little bridge you have to go over (not under, no room). Beautiful lake to paddle, though. Decent fishing too.
