This trail leaves the Findlay trail at Blue Lake Centre via the Findlay connector. It is a short trail that runs along the slope overlooking Fishermaiden lake at 4200ft. The trail does not take you down to the lake, use the Deer Creek trail for that.
The lookout from the ridge gives a great view over the marshy areas used by ducks, deer and osprey.
Drive south of Invermere, past Fairmont and turn off Highway 93/95 onto Findlay Creek RD, approximately 4 km North of the Canal Flats gas station. Follow the signs for 26 km until you reach Blue Lake Centre. Check all the forks and intersections for Blue Lake signs, there are a number of side roads. The road is plowed all winter by Tembec operations.
This trail starts from the Findlay trail, at the Findlay connector junction. Watch out for logging operations in winter of 2006-7 in this area.
