This is one of the most enjoyable and accessible mountain hikes in the Carcross valley. Once on the ridge, the entire Watson valley is spread out below with a wonderful view of Bennett, Spirit and Emerald lakes.
Hike up the driveway and take the 2nd left (30m past the electrical pole) onto a wide path. Follow this in for 30 m, look for a 1m high survey post. Turn right at the post & follow a bush trail for 200 m until you reach a more established trail, leading around a private cabin. Now follow the top of an escarpment running along the left of the creek. It climbs towards ridgeline, in and out of dense bush.
Follow the developed trail that leads up to the ridge. Continue most of the way up the ridge until the summit (east) ridge comes into view. tricky route here, keep going up and head for the ridge, follow the cairns. Contour across grass and scree until the notch. Now faint trails go up the summit ridge to the first peak.
Drive south on the South Klondike highway towards Carcross, approximately 44km. When you reach Spirit Lake Resort, continue for just under 3km, turning left at a driveway that runs parallel to the highway. Park her without blocking this driveway. The trail follows the perimeter of private property, stay on the trail.

My main reason to hike with the company of others is just for safety. Please, contact me at firstname.lastname@example.org
I wish you all the best.
