Trail length: 3km
Level: Captain Nemo: difficult
Riddler: Most Difficult
Rating: both trails 3/5
These trails can be ridden up or shuttled. To shuttle, locate the Kettle Valley Railway - Myra Canyon Trestles parking lot on your city of Kelowna map
and drive up to the parking lot after leaving a car at the top of Svaboda.
There is an exceptional Google Earth rotatable and zoomable view (see trail options), and you can download GPS data into your own GPS to help you stay on the trail. Can't help you with the bears though.
You take the railway bed away from the parking lot towards the trailheads. The second trail on your right is Captain Nemo this heads down to The Riddler
and whole whack of trails from there. You can find your way down by taking trails to the left or the right, they all work there way back to your other car under the power lines. For more detail pick up a free map from Cyclepath or Gerrick Cycle.

UpsideCrawford (it's not Cauffield) is a great area to ride. DownsideThe fires of 2003 razed the whole area and most trails are hard to find and follow. The maps (which are cheap by the way, and help support the local mtn bike club) aren't that useful anymore. Nemo and Riddler were particularly hard hit -- all the stunts burned or have been removed by parks staff. Only the trail remains. The regrowth is neat to see, but it's a provincial park (Myra Bellevue), and is still closed to all users due to remaining "danger trees", destruction of trails, and to help regrowth.
If you go, go with someone who knows the trails well -- ask at any bikeshop. And respect all regrowth -- never ever stray from marked trails. Also, expect to run into a park ranger asking you to leave, or wildlife including lots of black bears that will fight you for the few remaining food sources there.

UpsideBig area, lot's of choices. DownsideCan be hard to find the cool stuff. CommentAs far as I know the trail is called Crawford Trail, seeing as how it is on Crawford Mountain. And they charge for those maps at the bike shops unless you've got connections.
