Kluane Lake is the Yukon's largest and most beautiful lake located next to the magnificent St. Elias Mountains. Kluane National Park borders the lake and the hiker has many options to visit trails into the Park, climb nearby peaks or follow the shoreline to explore the lake or go fishing.

Nearby trails include:

  • Sheep mountain,
  • Sheep creek,
  • Vulcan creek and
  • Burwash Loop .

The lake is large but can be crossed by canoe or packraft, in order to access some remote valleys and mountains not reachable by car or trails. See our article on packrafting for more information.
