This trail is best in the winter when snow covers the narrow and sometimes steep four wheel drive trails. Start in Coquitlam past the Westwood Golf Academy (go up Johnson and proceed to the very end) - the road turns into a fairly steep switchback - follow this for a few minutes. Park at the gates (there is a four wheel drive road off on the left.) Start up the four wheel drive road - as you go up the trail there are different branches to take - they are marked on trees with names of where they go. Follow the Noons Creek trail and then the trail that says Viewpoint. When there is lots of snow (like this year) the trail/road is hard to find. If nobody has trekked it before the snow can be very deep. Allow 3 to 5 hours.

If you like the grouse grind and you tired of being behind peoples butts on the trail this is a good one just longer. But you have to go back down. Downside Not much really Comment Made it to the start of Lindsay loop and no snow as of April 20. Just a few patches of it here and there but very muddy. One more month or so and i will do the loop in drier conditions. This time did an extra walk along the old logging road to the viewpoint west of cypress lake just an extra bit. If you want to do this you take the trail at the top that says westwood plateau and it will bring you there. You can see all the way to stanley park and vancaouver island. You can also see Seymour.
