Nice easy paddling on the Farmington River, with great scenery. Anyone can easily put a kayak or canoe in the river, paddle upstream, then ride the lazy current back downstream. Conversely, if you have the capacity, you can put in in Farmington off Route 4, and paddle downstream for a longer day paddle that could take a good chunk of an afternoon, roughly 10 miles downstream. It could take around 5 hours just drifting, or 3 paddling.
From Granby and Points North:
Follow Route 10 South through the center of Simsbury, passing DYNO Nobel. There will be a traffic Light with Pettibone's Tavern on the left. Take the left turn, and go over the bridge. Directly after the bridge on the left is a large parking area near the sycamore, or turn right down Nod Road. The guardrail ends and there is another large parking area and put in location.
Follow Route 10 North, past The Hartford, Turn right at Pettibone's Tavern and Route 185. Follow the directios from Southbound.
From Bloomfield and Hartford:
Take 185 over the mountain, past Talcott Mountain State park. Proceed down the hill past Folly Farm. Bear LEFT at the intersection at the bottom of the mountain, and turn right at the traffic light into the parking area.

QuestionIs there any way to download/lock in on the GPS coordinates of a trail that is listed? I see a Google GPS Map listed with the trail, but I have not found any way to lock in those coordinates.
