This is a public launch right in Galilee, famous for not only the Block Island Ferry, but also for being across the water from Jerusalem. This launch site will put you out onto Salt Pond. This area is great for simple paddling. A great start is just paddling around Great Island (pun intended). Galilee is a good place for paddlers of all skill levels. Just keep an eye on the boat traffic as this is a heavily populated area. And once you finish paddling, head down to Galilee for some of the best sea food in RI.

Directions:

From RT 1 follow the signs for the Block Island Ferry. These will take you to Escape Road, at the bottom of Escape Road turn Right and the launch will be on the southeast side of the Great Island Bridge.
