A rough and strenuous hike, commanding views of Mount Lincoln, and Mount Lafayette

Directions:

The parking area in Franconia Notch is a short distance from NH State Park Flume Complex, about 5 miles north of North Woodstock on US 3.

Or if you prefer you can park at the trail head for Falling Waters Trail on rt. 93.

There was a few feet of snow on the trail so we wore our snowshoes all the way to the top. The trail wasn't extremely difficult, but it was a very steady and somewhat steep uphill that went on & on. The weather was ideal: Temps in the teens & light winds. The sky was deep blue. I added a few pictures. It's easy to tell which ones were taken in the winter.
