The most beautiful trail in the state of Maine. It has everything from a rocky cliff hike to a moss-covered paradise to grasslands. The long part of the trail has three campsites, and there is a shortcut loop if you do not want to make the full loop trek.

(from route 95 in MA)

1. I-95 N

2. Take exit 44(ME)to merge onto I-295 N toward S Portland/Downtown Portland Partial toll road

3. Merge onto I-95 N(Gardner ME) Partial toll road

4. Take exit 182A to merge onto I-395 E toward Brewer/Bangor/ME-9/US-1A - follow signs for 1A

7. Slight left at High St/ME-3/US-1

8. Turn left at Downeast Hwy/US-1

9. Turn right at Bridge St/Dann J Kennedy Memorial Hwy/US-1A

Continue to follow US-1A

10. Slight right at US-1

11. Turn right at ME-191

Once in Cutler, the trail head is on the right, and there is a small dirt parking lot for appx. 20 cars.
