This is a long trail with a lot of variety. Most of it is flat terrain with some scrambling involved. It's a really good hike if you want to enjoy a long scenic hike with little difficulty. The Trail cuts out in a few areas, which makes it difficult to find your way around in the Spring hiking months. Easiest to start off the Belly River Trail head then follow it around to the Lee Ridge Trail by the Ranger station.
Take Highway 17 west through Glacier National Park and take the Belly River Trail head right beside the Chief Mountain customs site.
