Five miles of interpretive trails meander through a mature forest on the slopes west of Cayuga Lake. The Nature Center also houses over 30 live animals in indoor and outdoor exhibits and has a seasonal butterfly house. A minimal fee ($3) is charged.
A map and trail description for this hike can be found in the guidebooks "Take A Hike - Family Walks in New York's Finger Lakes Region? and "Snow Trails - Cross-country Ski and Snowshoe in Central & Western New York" both available through EMS.
From Ithaca, head north on Route 89 for 6 miles. The nature center will be on the left.
