Leaving the trail head you will encounter roughly 2 to 3 miles of wide maintained trails. It could be described as a 1.5 mile oval race track with three bisecting trails. One single track trail heads off in the North West corner for .5 miles and heads over a clear cut section that has a nice breezy view. There is one large steep hill that would challenge any backcountry skier or lose your wind if you are trying to run up it.
Also, in the back section you will find two separate spur trails that leads to Cape Cod community college or on another trail to RT. 6-A with it's own parking and access.
It best to just wander around and re circle different loops; you'll find it well worth the one to two hours of trail exploration.
Take exit 6 off route 6 Cape Cod. Go toward Hyannis for 1.2 miles. At lights on Phinny's lane, take a left. Go roughly one mile and pass under an overpass (RT. 6) and then take immediate left (left turn is only a few yards pass the underpass!) Follow Jail Lane for roughly 1 mile, parking is on left with evident trail sign.
