Finding a put in can be tricky but you should be able to park at the Squam Lake assocation there is a fee to park, but its safe!!
Start off with paddling in "little Squam" & head out to the famous Squam Lake, there are over 30 Island some are privite. But there is camping on Bowman & Moon Island. You check out more information on www.squamlakes.org.I would suggest that you pick up a chart of the Lake, you can get lost very easy.
Great veiws & wonderful fall foliage, there is an Island with eagles nest, lots of Loons as you paddle along.

Squam Lakes Association headquarters in Holderness, NH, on Rt 3, 1.5 miles east of the Squam Bridge and 6 miles west of Meredith. Take Route 93 to Exit 24, Ashland , Rt 3 East for a few miles.
