This is a beautiful area widely used by locals and known by many Rhode Islanders. There is a boat ramp to put in kayaks, canoes and row-boats, lots of parking for hiking rails and also campsites available during the summer. Many people take their dogs here for walks because it's well maintained - the lake is clean and there are lots of areas for the dogs to swim. The Rangers are very strict about leash laws, so make sure you observe all signs and obey rules. Swimming is also allowed in certain areas and there are campsites by the water.
