A number of horse trails near the campground and Hot springs lead you to the rocky hills above for excellent views of the river valley and surrounding ranges.
The main path goes straight away from the campsites and turns left at a T-junction. Keep right at the next fork and continue towards a fence. A narrow sidetrail to the right goes uphill a 100m back to a viewpoint (you can reach a B&B from here downhill and left).
At the fence keep left on a narrow trail (side trip to the top of the rocky hill above an be done on a newly cleared seismic line). Follow the main horse trail now going west and over some outcrops, until a wide road is intersected. If you go right, you can do a sidetrip to a nice small lake. Go left and follow this road back to the fenceline of the Hot Springs property. The gate is open and shortly you get back to the camping sites and hot springs. Walk back to campsite C1.
Drive past Whitehorse and turn north on hwy 2. After 5.5km turn left to Takhini Hot Springs road. Drive 10km to the hot springs and turn right to the campground. Continue on the main path to site C1. Here you find a narrow dirt path to the forest to the right, park here.
