Very nice, lightly populated, quiet water paddle. The only challenge might be some wind as the lake is very long NW to SE. The ramp is on the North end and is just a short distance off the main road. Lots of parking available. First time I saw this lake was during a NECKRA race and later Bonnie and I took to paddling there. A circumferential paddle is just under 9 miles and you could easily make that longer with a few cris-crosses. There is one very densly populated beach/rental/camp area which is at the South end near RT. 65.
The parking lot and large ramp is located off RT. 138. There is a small sign but it is easy to shoot right by it so go slow. The urn off RT. 138 is to the South, about 2 miles East of 395 or 8 miles West of the RI border.
