Gates Pond is a reservoir in Berlin, MA. There is a trail that loops around the pond that is approximately a 45-60 min long walk. There are some moderate hills as you go around, but nothing unbearable. It's a wonderful way to spend a nice afternoon outside on a leisurely walk. Many high schools hold cross country competitions here, so watch out for runners! The trail in general is wide and you'll find all kinds of wildlife both in the woods and on the lake. Also, if you enjoy apple picking, there is an orchard on the same road!
