The trail starts on Bell's Neck Rd. between the East and West Reservoirs. This trail is great fun for the whole family. You can do every trail within an hour. There is a put-in for kayakers, when looking at the map the put-in is on the left (Herring River). The trails are well used and free of poison ivy! Unfortunately, my pictures were taken on my phone and not compatible with my Mac, sorry, they were good too.
Directions:
Route 6 to exit 9A. Follow exit ramp south on Rt. 134 to your second set of lights, take a left on Theophilus Smith (across from Mid Cape HC). Follow for about 1/4 mi to the intersection with stop sign (transfer station on left) make right on S. Gages Way to a "T" intersection with Great Western. Take a left on Great Western for about a mile, you will pass Depot St. on the left. Continue straight to Bell's Neck Rd. On your right, there is a sign and a split rail fence. Follow the easily passable dirt road and you can park anywhere along the dirt section past the Cape Cod Rail Trail.

UpsideGood for ALL members of the family, grandparents, small children and the dog (swimming holes). The pedestrian bridge view is classic cape cod. DownsideGreat if you are looking for a short walk, not so good if you enjoy an hour +. CommentI enjoyed my time both during the day and on the full moon but I don't know if I'll go back. If it was closer to my house I would, but driving 30+ minutes for an hour walk.? I don't think so.
