World Cup was an unsantioned trail built on Sumas in secret but soon discovered by many. After an initial political incident with the wood lot owner the FVMBA managed to negotiate an amenable agreement to keep the trail open, but conceded permanent status. This trail will be destroyed when the wood lot is logged so enjoy it while it lasts. Note that this is a new trail and due to the loamy ground about half way down, it should not be ridden in the wet - or it won't last long...

Directions:

Go south from the Time Killer out or ride North from the access road to the summit on the new logging road about 1km down from the upper gate.

By Mr.GPosted By: Mr.G  - Fri Nov 07 23:20:43 UTC 2008 Not Rated Upside A new big bike trail .
Top trail from cabin - "Snake"---- short ,joiner trail from the TK cabin exits on to new logging road,
across and then it's into "Devil's throat"
You know your on it as you ride through a devil's mouth. ( need a pix.)
VERY STEEP, not the place for a xc bike with skinny tires.
DT exits onto another new logging rd, across and back into the canopy, you are now in
"WorldCup" not as steep and more windy action till it finally exits out onto a logging rd.
This is the same rd TK and Chadsey exits onto,
Go W. 100ft and there's the TimeOut exit.
Go E. up this rd it will end up at the access rd and NoahFear exit(yellow locked gate).
Downside New trail, it's raining big time right now and this trail is a river.
Lots of quirky signs, and very old school building, very little attention paid to water control.
Save yourself some grief, don't ride this trail in wet conditions .
Comment The fvmba works for all riders, giving our word, securing insurance, trying our best to organize and support our builders.
I still love the baby, we now have another line down sumas.
