Sweeping single and double track traces the bottom grasslands to the
radio tower. Once reaching the tower, single track can be followed
north east until you meet an old ranch road that can be followed for a
short distance down to the main road.
Cross over the cattle guard that starts your hike. Follow the dirt road for aprox. 5 minutes, where you'll find single track shooting up to the East (right.) Follow this single track as it works its way to the tower. When you reach a small flat section aprox 3/4 of the way up, you'll see the Telus road going to the left of the peak, and a single track going to the right. They both get you to the same place!
The top of the tower peak has wonderful views both ways. This is a good half way point to turn around. Simply follow the telus road back down to your vehicle! Follow a small single track down the south east side of tower peak, going towards the river. This trail will take you down through a neat little meadow. Follow the trail through the meadow and onto double track. Follow the double track down (right turn) to a fence gate. Over the gate will be a small parking lot. 50 feet from the gate is the main road, right at the four KM sign!
It is aprox. a 15 minutes walk down the dirt road (or the single track that follows it) back to your vehicle.
Cross the first cattle guard at the top of the Bachelor Highs subdivision and continue up the main road until you pass the first parking lot on your right. 100 feet past where the road turns to dirt, there will be a sweeping right hand turn. At the apex of this turn, there is a road that goes South west, towards the south Thompson. Due to recent changes in the grassland protection program, the road is blocked at the first cattle guard. Park your vehicle in the pull off to the left of the cattle guard.
