The first section of this trail is wide enough to accommodate mountain bikers. It is steep in some sections. * note: the picture above is of the trail team 2003. The Hope area provides a free trail map and guide; many of the trails on Trailpeak are from this guide and trailhead co-ordinates were collected by this team. Way to go team!

Directions:

Head east on Wallace St. Turn right on Sixth Ave. Turn left on Kawkawa Lake Rd. Turn right onto Othello Rd. and continue for 6 km. The trailhead is on the left side. Use the trailhead co-ordinate above with your GPS.

We got to snow and ice just up from where we could see and hear the creek. A friend of mine was working on clearing out the blowdown a bit and we cleared small trees and branches off the trail.
Bring trekking poles, it is very steep coming down. Trail was well marked as far as we got.

This trail ends up in the middle of nowhere and NO markers.. I got lost for 30 minutes! Beware!
