Located near the junction at Burma and Alaska Pine Roads. Walk approximately 100 metres up Burma Road to the trailhead of Sweetwater Creek and Blackwater Creek Trails. Blackwater Trail is on your left. Follow the trail to the "Y" and keep right. Stay on the railway grade; it will take you up a hill and to the crest overlooking Blackwater Creek. Follow the trail along the creek, down the gorge and across the bridge at Kelly Falls. Turn left at the top of the crest on the opposite side of the creek. The trail will lead you to David Lam Falls and a picnic site. From the picnic site the trail leads to Green Road (an abandoned logging road) turn left on Green Road and follow it until you reach Washout Creek. Turn left onto the trail following Washout Creek. You will pass a bridge crossing Washout Creek on your right. Follow the old railway grade back to the beginning of the trailhead on Burma Road. This short hike has some fabulous waterfalls and gorges; take a camera! For maps and more info contact the visitor infocentre at 604-485-4701.
Drive up Duck Lake Road to the Duck Lake Bridge from Highway 101 south of Powell River. Turn east on Burma road and drive till you reach the junction of Burma and Alaska Pine Roads. Park your vehicle at the junction and head up Burma Road, and at approximately 100 metres you'll see the trailhead.
