NTS Map:92B6. From Old Esquimalt Road turn right at Old Esquimalt school. Go to the end of the field and then go up the paved path to the lookout. The view is great, and there are rocks and drops to practice on.

UpsideIt's fun to stand at the summit and look out over the city. I can see my office from up here. There's also a cairn that tells you this distance and bearing of several landmarks both local and a far. DownsideThis isn't really a hike, more like an interesting little park. It takes all of about 5 minutes to get to the summit. CommentThe name of the hill that this park is on is called 'High Rock'. Most of the locals call it High Rock Park, or Rock Park, but when the city turned the land into a park they built the cairn on top and renamed it Cairn Park. The signs at the entrances all read Cairn Park.
