COQUITLAM TRAILS MAP.

Eagle Ridge has a great trail network that gives the advanced rider a lot to work with. It's lower trails are great to play on and buld skills, although not that easy. (UPDATE: EWOK city is no more, these were the lower trails with lots of ramps and ladders, a housing development is in). We've provided a few trails here, from Four Lost Souls, to Fat bastard, and, some unknown trail that we used to get back to the parking lot before dark. Figure you should make friends with the locals to take you up where the newer trails are. A good meeting spot is the starbucks nearby in Port Moody, take the trans-Canada East from Vancouver, exit into Port Moody (exit ramp, then left), and follow into a mall area -- look for other riders at Starbucks, wish we had better instructions for you, I know we parked at a nearby school, comments welcome in the discussion forum.

Downside Climb up is slow and difficult to ride. Watch out for crazy 4x4ers. Comment Lost of work being done. Check out the wall ride on the Dentist!

A challenge for even seasoned riders. Downside The climb up. Trying to find the trail entrance your first time up can be a challenge, but once you've found it, you won't miss it a second time.
Comment I highly recommend getting someone to drop you off at Lungbuster and pick you up at Buntzen Lake at the bottom of Academy Trail in the horse parking lot.

The rough access keeps the crowds away and ensures a quiet, peaceful ride in the woods.

There are several sequences of trails to choose from:

Massage, Manhandler, Pigs, Mistress

FLS and Dentist

Fat Bastard, Ringwraith or Manwhore

Easiest access is from the Lungbuster which can be found at the end of Parkway near the water tower. Ask around and you will find.

By bsandiePosted By: bsandie  - Fri Dec 07 06:57:01 UTC 2001 Not Rated Comment Many Routes
The Eagle Ridge area has many routes once you get to the top of the powerline - a few of the more well used routes are to follow the rocky gravel powerline towards Buntzen Lake - there are two routes to take - both are single track and converge at the top of the double track trail called the "Academy Trail". This trail leads right down to the first Buntzen Lake parking lot.
